| Score | Rating | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 0–50 | Easiest | Flat, paved, or gentle grades. Suitable for all. |
| 51–100 | Moderate | Some hills. Good fitness helpful. |
| 101–150 | Moderately Strenuous | Significant elevation. Solid fitness required. |
| 151–200 | Strenuous | Steep grades, long distance. Experienced hikers. |
| 200+ | Very Strenuous | Expert level. Requires preparation and conditioning. |
