Number Guessing Game

I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 100. Can you guess it? You'll get higher/lower hints.

The optimal strategy is binary search: always guess the midpoint of the remaining range. This guarantees you'll find any number from 1–100 in at most 7 guesses.
