Lead Paint Testing Guide

Lead paint was banned in residential use in 1978. Homes built before that date are presumed to have lead paint under EPA's Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule. Intact lead paint is not immediately dangerous — but sanding, scraping, or disturbing it creates hazardous dust. Know your risk before starting any project.
