My Hearing Profile
The VA rates hearing loss using the Numeral Designation System based on pure-tone average and word recognition score. Veterans with any service-connected hearing loss are entitled to free hearing aids from the VA regardless of percentage rating. The PACT Act expanded presumptive coverage for veterans exposed to loud noise during service.
