The VA's Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) provides a monthly stipend to primary family caregivers of eligible post-9/11 veterans. The stipend is based on the local cost of home health aide services and the veteran's care needs level.

CAREGIVER STIPEND TIERS

The PCAFC stipend equals the monthly cost of a home health aide in the veteran's geographic area, adjusted by tier. In addition to the stipend, caregivers receive CHAMPVA health coverage, mental health counseling, respite care (30 days/year), and caregiver training. Apply with VA Form 10-10CG. Wait times average 60–90 days for enrollment.
